A Great Project, an Award, and a Note of Gratitude

December 06, 2018, by Joshua Salinger

When Keyan Mizani and Alexia Zerbinis, owners of eM/Zed Architecture, were looking for the right team to build thier Zero Energy dream home they decided to partner with Birdsmouth Construction to bring thier vision to life. We completed this home this past year and were awarded Earth Advantage's 2018 'Zero Energy Home Builder of the Year' award in part due to this great project. We here at Birdsmouth would like to take a moment to aknowledge the great work of the project manager on this project, Peter Bogart. Peter's top notch work ethic and commitment to his craft were on display with his input on the very first design meetings all the way through the final punch list and finishing touches. There are very few humans we have met that are capable of managing such a complex and high performing project with skill and grace as Peter. From managing the myriad of people and subs coming and going, adjusting to new materials and design details, to communicating to the clients, and keeping his eye on the goal Peter was able to bring this project to life and create one of the highest qualitiy buildings in our region. This is no small feat; there are always challenges, bad weather, complex details, and constructability issues that arise in a home of this caliber. Peter never waivered and went beyond expectations- putting in hours in evenings and weekends and making sure things stayed on track- all of this while raising his first kid at home. We at Birdsmouth would like to tip our hats and let Peter know that we are grateful and impressed with the work he did on this project on behalf of our team. Not only was he able to do this with efficiency and grace, but he is a great person and we are all glad to know him! Thank you, Peter.
